Sedgman employees came to install my oven. There was a small sizing issue, so the two young guys went to have lunch and play with our dog while they called "the boss" and decided what to do. They waited around for 45 minutes, then used a crappy little multitool to saw into my cabinetry to make it fit. Hack job to say the least. 2.5 hours later, they then realised they didn't have a part to connect it up, so they left and said they'd be back in the New Year... leaving me stranded without an oven over Christmas. I got a friend of a friend to come and see if he could sort something out temporarily - 15 minutes later, fully installed working oven. Sedgman guys rocked up on my doorstep unannounced in FEBRUARY to see if I still wanted my oven installed, and then sent me a bill in APRIL for $320. Ridiculous, entitled jerks.

I found Sedgman Elec not too bad on my domestic jobs but absolutely inexperienced on my industrial elec requirements. When I confronted him with his mistakes I found his business ethics atrocious and the whole ordeal in dealing with Sedgman Elec a real disappointing experience .... I'm all for a young fella having a go but if you don't know what your doing you shouldn't be doing it .... I don't think he's long finished his apprenticeship and I think calling himself a "Master Electrician" is false advertising as this guy is still very wet behind the ears in my opinion ! In short I would not recommend his services whatsoever.
