The Albert Street Bakery is located on the main street of Inglewood, a pretty little town on Queensland’s Darling Downs, three and a half hours southwest of Brisbane. The Bakery is an ideal place to plan a stop on your way between Warwick and Goondiwindi or between Toowoomba and Goondiwindi or Inverell/Texas and Toowoomba. Be sure to stop at Cobar Hot Bake when you’re on the way through town. They make a great chilli pie but that’s beaten by the curry pie, which I think was fantastic. What can't be beaten are their milkshakes, which are made the way they should be made: big, full of flavour, and served with a plastic straw.
