The BEST Ballet Dance Classes in Nelson Bay NSW

This is the dance school's 10th Year of operation with the same teachers. We have a Dance Ministry Team, with the vision to engage and minister to our community through dance. To date our team have performed at our Local Community Carols, St Philips Founders Day Fair, Beachside's 10 year anniversary, and local conference events including Women's conferences, Mission Possible, World and National Day of Prayer events. We have travelled via invitation as far as Newcastle to dance at a Liberty for the Nations event. Teachers: Lisa has danced from an early age having involvement in dance and musical theatre, as a choreographer, teacher and student. Her training includes ballroom (up to 1st National level), tap, jazz, ballet (RAD to Advanced 2), lyrical and irish dance and performance highlights include Disneyland (USA), JAPAN and the Sydney Olympic Opening Ceremony. Lisa is qualified by Living Dance to teach all levels through to our Senior/Advanced levels and taught dance since 1993. She is also a qualified Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor. Sarah has also danced the majority of her life, taught through dancing within the church and with her family. Sarah previously taught and ran Beachside School of Creative Arts - Dance. Sarah is qualified by Living Dance to teach all levels of Pre-Dance, Jazz and Contemporary, and Ballet Junior levels. We used the Living Dance Curriculums: Living Dance Curriculums �Born of a passion to give our young people ~ a wholesome experience of dance in its original intention; from a Biblical worldview; and to give the joy & exhilaration of exploring and developing their gift as they train in dance. The Curriculums bring together a distillation of the world's best training methods in classical ballet based predominantly on a French method of training and Expressive Interpretive Dance; the keys to high level of technical expertise & understanding the body alongside the development of expressive abilities. We believe in giving positive feed back & recognition of the qualities in each child; developing creativity alongside technique; and allowing a child to be a child with wholesome and edifying class content and performances.
