Mia says Tara was a lovely host. Mia would definitely return and highly recommend. Tara and the very cute cat named Max went out of their way to make Mia welcome. The cottage was very well equipped at a very reasonable price. It was spacious. It was a private and fantastic place to stay in Uralla.

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
About
A variety of rooms and self-contained units, including single, double, king, family and bunkhouse style. Includes complimentary Continental breakfast and full access to our beautiful gardens and swimming pool. River fishing on the premises. Internet access available on request. Significant discounts for weekly and monthly rentals. Manilla is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, located on Fossickers Way 45 kilometres northwest of the regional city of Tamworth. At the 2006 census, Manilla had a population of 2,081 people. Manilla is famous for its setting as a fishing and paragliding area. The name Manilla comes from the Gamilaraay language, and is said to mean 'winding river'. Manilla was established in the 1850s at the junction of the Namoi River and the Manilla River. It lies next to the Bundarra-Barraba Important Bird Area which is important for the conservation of the endangered Regent Honeyeater. Manilla is also well known for Split Rock Dam on the Manilla River and Lake Keepit on the Namoi River. We especially enjoy entertaining glider pilots of all disciplines - both of us are experienced paragliding, hang-gliding and sailplane pilots and can help out if you would like to fly in the local area.

We stayed here with friends before and after walking in the Abel Tasman National Park with Wilsons. The location was just perfect and the meal at the Speights Ale House (short walk away) was fantastic! Pete was warm and friendly. The breakfast was incredible - lots of options and everything was delicious - it was hard to stop eating. The room was really comfortable with lots of welcoming extras. Delicious bikkies and lots of nice teas to choose from. Spa was a Godsend post walk. We highly recommend a stay at Ambleside.
