About
Nestled along the Upper Murray River just 800 metres from Walwa, Victoria, offers an idyllic retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. This picturesque park, shaded by cottonwood trees and surrounded by well-maintained gardens, provides 2 ensuite cabins, 2 standard cabins, 50 powered sites, and 6 unpowered sites, welcoming travellers, holiday makers, and pets (except in cabins). Facilities include a fully equipped camp kitchen with BBQ, a separate BBQ area, and two amenities blocks offering spacious cubicles with plenty of hot water. The park store provides essentials like ice and gas bottle refills, while an RV dump point is conveniently located nearby. Cabin accommodations feature modern comforts such as split-system heating and cooling, TVs, and fully equipped kitchenettes, while powered and unpowered sites cater to campers and caravan owners with 24-hour access to amenities. The park's riverside location is perfect for fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Nearby trails cater to motorbike riders, cyclists, and bushwalkers, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beautiful countryside. Fire drums are available for cosy evenings, with wood available for purchase on-site. The surrounding Upper Murray region boasts attractions like Cudgewa Bluff Falls in the Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park, where water cascades off the park plateau into a tranquil grotto below. Nearby lookouts such as Jim Newman's Lookout and Mt Alfred's Gap Lookout provide stunning views of the Murray River valley and surrounding farmlands. Local experiences include the Man from Snowy River Festival held annually in April in nearby Corryong. Several unique country pubs offer authentic rural charm, including the historic Walwa Country Pub, Tintaldra Hotel and The Bridge ( Jingellic) Hotel. Walwa Riverside Caravan Park combines the tranquillity of a riverside setting with proximity to diverse attractions, making it an ideal destination.

This was our first stay @ Walwa Riverside Caravan park. We had a site beside the Murray River. As it was the busy time of the year - Christmas & New Years Eve - the park was packed with vans & people. The owners of this park are amazing! Hard working & super friendly. And the things that top it off for us is that they have a "No noise policy after 10pm" This is the first park in our travels that we had silence across the park. Highly recommend come & stay.
Thank you so much for your review Sue and your kind words. We hope to see you again sometime.
