About
We are a group of men from the Wallsend area which is in the city of Newcastle in NSW Australia. Our volunteer members provide their time, skills and experience to support the local community. Our main focus is community and charitable activities for the local region, but one of the driving concepts behind Men’s sheds is to alleviate isolation and provide men with opportunities for regular social contact, ensuring a more cohesive and inclusive society. We support men of all ages, and endeavour to teach each other new skills in the men’s shed.

Our non-for-profit social purpose organisation works in more than 300 communities across Australia, This equals to supporting just over 11,500 people living in their own homes or in residential houses that we manage. Our commitment is to helping those in need. We provide support to those who are homeless, seeking refugee, elderly and people with disability or mental illness in Wollongong. Aged care, drug counselling and foster care are just a few of the many services we offer. In order to make a lasting impact on the lives of the people we support, we also work in partnership with the community, elders, government and private sector. Our goal is to provide the care needed and requested by the individual. As a Wollongong charity focused on supportive counselling services, we work one-on-one to ensure care is personalised and tailored specifically on a case-by-case basis.
