Opening Doors services is available for individual therapy for the child, group therapy with the parent and child and parent support sessions. Play can be described as something purposeless, all-consuming and fun. When we engage in this process our brain lights up like a firecracker and sets the stage for all kinds of positive therapeutic changes. Playing as an adult can be hard, it’s almost drilled out of us. The parent support program gives you the tools to tap into that lost part of ourselves and use it to enhance a child’s development and strengthen the parent child connection. Mission: My mission is to provide mental health support to children and their families’ in a non-clinical environment to promote the best possible outcome using their strengths to encourage the healing process. My practice is tailored to support the unique needs of individuals and their families using Evidenced Based Therapies in a confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. What I Do: We offer individual/ small group Children’s Counselling sessions in an environment that’s creative and fun. We genuinely care about you and your children’s mental health and well-being that is why we choose to offer Counselling/ Education in a confidential, helpful and affordable manner.
