Have recently moved to Jacobs Ridge and in this regard we looked into contacting a local doctor. Attended the local medical centre at Ormeau Village in Eggersdorf Road and was lucky enough to meet up with Dr Shafi Khan who not only took care of my medical condition but arranged for a blood test, x-rays and a CT scan on the same day. What great service! After 23 years of having a lovely doctor at our last location we thought it was going to be extremely difficult to meet someone of the same calibre but Dr Sharif Khan met all our expectations. He is a delightful individual to deal with, reacts quickly to your health questions and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone. We consider ourselves very lucky to have discovered him and have the utmost faith in dealing with him in the future. It is also a bright, happy and pleasant medical centre with the girls on the desk Chey and Korina who complete the picture. Thank you Dr Khan for all you have done for me!

PaediaTricks is an NDIS approved Occupational Therapy practice that provides real help for children with learning difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, difficulties with fine and gross motor skills, attention and concentration, reading and writing. We also help with toileting issues such as bed wetting and toilet training. We teach play skills and help children with behavioural difficulties. Our music based Occupational Therapy programs are particularly beneficial for clients with special needs. School and home visits are available in addition to clinic appointments. Donna Emery (business owner) has a wealth of experience as a Townsville Occupational Therapist, spanning over 30 years. Her intimate understanding of disability and parenting issues, brings a uniquely satisfying approach to her intervention. PaediaTricks occupational therapists Zachary Gray, Anna MacDermott, Petra Magerl and Felicity Leon are experienced and familiar with the joys and challenges of parenting. Wendy Cohen in Cairns and Sandy Curran in Yeppoon are also part of our experienced team. Casey-Lee Morris has joined our newly expanded team on the Gold Coast. With a comprehensive occupational Therapy assessment we discover your child's strengths as well as get to the foundations of your child's areas of difficulty, providing unique individual programs to suite your child.

She is a dual-scholarship recipient and a local graduate from Griffith University with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) degree. She was the first student in QLD to have obtained guaranteed entry for her medical studies through the Griffith Connect Guaranteed Admission Scheme. She has previously worked at the Gold Coast University Hospital and received several Commendations for Outstanding Performance during her hospital training and was also nominated for Junior Doctor of the Year in 2018. Dr Ler is a strong advocate for General Practice on the Gold Coast, serving as a GP representative on several leading committees, including the Clinical Handover Committee at GCUH, Gold Coast Public Health Network (GCPHN) Clinical Council Chair and Primary Health Care Improvement Committee (PHCIC). She was Director for General Practice Gold Coast in 2022. She has recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine with James Cook University in 2023, receiving the Travel Health Advisory Group Medal for receiving the highest grade point average. She also completed the International Society of Travel Medicine’s Certificate of Travel Health and Graduate Certificate in Women's Health at the University of New South Wales in 2024. She is a member of the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM).
