Dr Ler is a strong advocate for General Practice on the Gold Coast, serving as a GP representative on several leading committees, including the Clinical Handover Committee at GCUH, Gold Coast Public Health Network (GCPHN) Clinical Council Chair and Primary Health Care Improvement Committee (PHCIC). She was Director for General Practice Gold Coast in 2022. She has recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine with James Cook University in 2023, receiving the Travel Health Advisory Group Medal for receiving the highest grade point average. She also completed the International Society of Travel Medicine’s Certificate of Travel Health and Graduate Certificate in Women's Health at the University of New South Wales in 2024. She is a member of the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM).
