Glow Church was founded in early 2013 on the Gold Coast (Australia). At the launch service on April 28, 2013 there were 350 people in attendance and 14 people made a decision to follow Christ. Joel and Ellen Cave felt God clearly speak to them about creating an environment where people could encounter Christ powerfully and be around people that stood out and shined. In October 2013, Glow church moved into their very own facility located in Varsity Lakes. Moving into this venue within 6 months of starting the church has been an incredible miracle and the favour of God has been very evident. The new venue is a very modern complex with a large two level auditorium, expansive designated kids spaces and contemporary office spaces. The new cafe and foyer have been designed with people spending lots of time together. The church has its foundations built around Matthew 5:14-16; �You are the light of the world. A city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
