On the 28th of April in 1956, Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club was officially opened by R. Winsor ESQ, the Commissioner for Railways. Since then, we have become the go-to spot for lawn bowls, events and delicious food. Our newly renovated Dining Car bistro is bound to have something to your liking, with an assortment of beverages and moreish meals. Watch one of the local games we sponsor at our club bar or try your hand at competition or social bowling. We travel from the coast to the Byabarra Cafe regularly and cannot recommend Kez and her staff (Husband/Chef included) highly enough. One of the MN coast’s great venues. ❤️👍

Very disappointed with the food …. We were certainly hoping for an improvement with the new ownership… ceaser salad with no egg? Steak was tough and not cooked to order…. On the bright side the drinks were great overall the experience was disappointing

I took my mother to the Old Butter Factory for lunch a few months ago and had the most amazing slow roasted lamb shoulder. She had Barramundi and said it was excellent. They have a new roof over all of the outside dining area now which makes it truly an all weather venue and it was a hot day when we went, and much cooler on that day than on previous visits. What a great idea to install the roofing as it is definately more appealing to sit outside when it is hot but not uncomfortable.

We went to the bistro on Sunday for lunch with all my family , firstly the bistro staff(one) and glass picker up (girl) need to have a talk to about how rude they were , the girl picking up the glasses etc couldn’t even put a smile on her face and the lady from the bistro that has been there for many years was very rude to my elderly father , food horrible I ordered barramundi chips and salad! Fish crunchy lefted out for too long after cooking , my kids had a he snitty with bacon and cheese sauce they said they couldn’t eat it , What’s happened to the best pub meal around ! Gone downhill ! Won’t be coming back to spend a fortune on food ! 10 of us at $25 a meal
