Scuba World is the only dive shop in Australia that is an Aqualung Partner Centre and Scuba Schools International (SSI) Diamond Dive Centre. This is the highest level world wide achievable. We specialise in government Nationally Recognised Training for all our courses. Scuba World employs 14 highly qualified and experienced staff, has a custom built 11.3 metre (38ft) naiad rigid hull inflatable boat, an onsite heated training pool, state-of-the-art rental equipment and a stunning showroom located on the beautiful Wharf in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Australia. Ian McKinnon founded Scuba World in 1979 as a small, modest dive shop in Toowong, Brisbane. 34 years on Scuba World has grown into one of the leading dive shops in Australia. Ian's two sons Mike and Rob are partners in the business and run day to day operations. With over 45 years of industry knowledge, Ian continues to assist his sons make decisions that increase the level of safety, comfort, professionalism, friendliness and knowledge at Scuba World.
