The Malpass Hotel, in the centre of Home Hill, provides four-star backpacker accommodation in four-share rooms at affordable rates. As the Burdekin is one of the most productive farming areas in Australia, there is an abundance of seasonal work available from fruit and vegetable picking, packing in sheds, general farm work, and bar work. Transport to and from jobs is available for guests at the Malpass Hotel. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a fridge provided. Their bartender Tamika was very helpful and patient. We passed through last week and decided to stop in at Malpass Hotel for a bite to eat. They have very friendly staff and great value meals.
