Welcome to Oakvale Square Meaters. Oakvale Square Meaters Stud was established in 2002. Purchasing our first cows with heifer calves at foot from Mandalong Stud. These cows gave us our stepping stone into our successful Square Meaters breeding programme. Purchasing Vesco Wise Guy (2002 RNA Champion) in 2003 as our foundation Sire. Our family and cattle had a few different homes over the next couple of years, until in 2006 we discovered the picturesque South Burnett region and the beautiful and friendly township of Wondai where we purchased our current property. In the same year we were very fortunate to be able to purchase our next Sire Woolaringa Extra from the renowned Ernie Stephenson’s Woolaringa Stud situated at Goulburn NSW. Extra has been an ideal Sire for our operation adding the volume and length we desired to see in our herd. A second Woolaringa Sire was purchased in 2009 in Woolaringa Doug this complemented the herd and now with the crossing of these 2 lines we are seeing some excellent results. Since moving to the South Burnett we have been able to supply many commercial sires into tropical breed herds enabling the breeders to lift their weaning weights hence providing them with a quicker turn around, polled progeny and most importantly more money in the bank.
