My name is Nicky Elliott. I am a visual storyteller, with a passion for film and graphic design. With more than 20 years experience in the radio, television, print media and film industries, the novelty never wears off. I work as a camera operator, editor, production designer, graphic designer and photographer in Port Stephens, Newcastle and Hunter regions of NSW. I studied film and cinematography in Paris, at the highly regarded Ecole Internationale de Cr�ation Audiovisuelle et de R�alisation (EICAR).Monkey Pants Media is my playground, where everything comes together, and ideas become reality. Filmmaking and cinema have always played an important role in my life. Who doesn’t love lounging around on a rainy Sunday night, cozying up with a film? I have a passion for filmmaking and love working with people to share their stories. My style of filmmaking is intimate but objective, and in the editing suite I work tirelessly to shape the memories made on the day into your unique story. Family has played an important role in my decision to create Thomas James Media, with the business name chosen to honour both of my grandfathers. My main inspiration came from the creation of a short film I made documenting my father’s recovery progress after a life threatening spinal cord injury.
