The Chocolate Cottage Café began in April 1997 from lifelong dreams of Kaye wanting to start a chocolate shop and teahouse and husband Colin owning his own restaurant. Our idea was to create a haven from the stresses of the outside world, somewhere to immerse yourself in. The restored 1877 original Highfields school house was the perfect place for our plans. From humble beginnings, we have literally grown with passion and hard work, producing all the chocolates in-house. The cafe now seats 230 and serves meals 6 days per week from 8.00am to 4pm. Over the years six other cottage businesses have been set up to add to the many things to explore. A destination with an amazing experience awaits you. Flaming Good is owned by Tony and Danielle. Our journey began when we ran our family olive grove in South East Queensland. After struggling to make a living from the olive grove we started pizza nights and these quickly became a huge success. We found that overnight the wood-fired Cob oven would hold a perfect roasting temperature. Using the cooling oven to roast our own farm-raised pork and lamb we began creating delicious and succulent roasts, with a rich depth of flavour we hadn’t experienced for a long time. Fast forward several years and Flaming Good now caters for events and private functions all across Queensland from our Toowoomba base. We cater functions of 40 people up to 25,000 people at major events. We now have a wide range of wood and charcoal-fired ovens creating delicious food including pizzas, fresh platters, BBQ’s, traditional roast with all the trimmings and decadent desserts. Together with our amazing Kitchen Family of very friendly hard-working staff, our trailers travel across Queensland to birthdays, engagement parties, weddings, family functions and corporate events.
