Be sure to stop at Cobar Hot Bake when you’re on the way through town. They make a great chilli pie but that’s beaten by the curry pie, which I think was fantastic. What can't be beaten are their milkshakes, which are made the way they should be made: big, full of flavour, and served with a plastic straw.

Make your vows on the riverside terrace, in the shaded gully or in the barrel room with your family and friends watching on. With panoramic views of the Murray River as your backdrop, the Terrace is our prime, ever-popular ceremony location. The perfect area for couples who want to transfix the eyes of every guest. Tucked away from the rest of the world, the Gully is a lush lawn area surrounded by tall gum trees, making it an iconic river ceremony location. With the Murray River as a backdrop, the tranquility of this setting is sure to make even the largest of ceremonies feel intimate. Amidst the rustic vibes and the divine smell of our aging wines, the Barrel Room is a distinctive ceremony location. Ideal for more intimate ceremonies, this space can also be used as a contingency plan if your day brings wet weather. The celebrations begin with a reception within our beautiful marquee along the lawns, inside the cosy Restaurant for a more intimate affair or underneath the vines on the veranda. Steve and Rosie would like to welcome you to come and stay with us at Wood Wood Caravan Park. We recently purchased the business and have re-opened the general store/ café that fronts onto the park performing extensive renovations in the process. We thrive on friendly service and we are always here to help you during your stay. We have a young family and believe through this venture we can teach them the values needed in life to succeed. We searched for a long time to find the park with a little bit of everything to offer and we firmly believe, with hard work over the coming years, we can achieve our goal. The Park is on 3 acres and is very well shaded with an abundance of green grass and surrounded by an abundance of natural birdlife, wildlife and vegetation. Wood Wood is a beautiful place, almost undiscovered, which is why we chose to start our new life here. The locals are friendly and always willing to help. Like so many Australians, we are the offspring of immigrant genitori (parents) & nonni (grandparents) who made sacrifices to move to the other side of the world (piu lontana!) in search of a better life. We are husband and wife – Ben and Michaela – and best friend – Daniel – and we are all fiercely proud of our Italian heritage, which covers top to bottom: Veneto, Lazio, Abruzzo and Sicilia. The idea of “Zecca Handmade Italian” was conceived after returning from an extensive food holiday to the motherland, and the dream of opening an Italian eatery focused on the true regional food of Italy which is so unfamiliar here in our hometown of Griffith was born (no tourist Italian fare here at Zecca Handmade Italian). The thought of not sharing this genuine gastronomy and culture seemed to be an opportunity lost if we didn’t do this, and what would be more fun than divulging our very own family traditions (annual salami and sauce day, seasonal preserving, card nights to name but a few) with a mutual love of food, coffee, culture and lingo! The opportunity to move back home to Griffith after living in the big smoke and foodie capital of Australia, Melbourne, for 10 years, to launch Zecca Handmade Italian seemed like fate!
