Crater Lakes Rainforest Cottages is a romantic getaway and a nature lover's paradise. The property is situated on the border of the World Heritage listed Lake Eacham National Park. Walk around the lake or take a swim in her safe, pristine waters. We are less than 10 minutes from the historical town of Yungaburra, which has award winning restaurants and a small supermarket. Our cottages are individually and tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home. Plus lots of little extras to spoil you; wood fire heater (it is cooler here than on the coast), air-conditioning, spa bath, king bed, candles, flowers and complimentary port and chocolates. A huge country breakfast hamper for your first morning is provided. From your private balcony you will encounter cute wallabies, Victoria's Rifle Bird, Cat Birds and much more wildlife. We stayed here in July 2017. Great local outback pub, clean place and quiet location. There are only 5 units at the hotel and they are very basic but we found them extremely clean and comfortable. There are no TV's in the rooms which was a bonus for us also no internet. Very friendly owners. There was a band on at the Hotel on the Saturday night. The average age of the group was mid 60's but they were absolutely awesome! We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.
