About
Four Bees in a Pod are based in the Lockyer Valley (Queensland) where we are first generation growers of the root spices turmeric, ginger and galangal. We are also chicken herders, rustic wood crafters and market gardeners. We decided to grow turmeric because of our love for home made Indian cuisine, and also because in Australia most of the turmeric supply is imported. We believe that consumers want fresh, locally grown produce, and although there are some turmeric farmers in Northern Queensland and New South Wales, there are few growers in the South East Queensland region.
