My children attended the College and I cannot be more pleased with their education and experience and the values they carried on following graduation into their lives. They are confident, resilient, capable men who have achieved so much. Being included in the community was great and thank you NCC staff and community for nurturing, supporting, challenging and caring for my children for many years.

About
The history of Glenview School begins in March, 1875, with a letter from local residents to the Queensland Department of Public Instruction advising that 'there were 15 children in the area in need of schooling'. The Department's reply indicated that the community would need to provide a 'weatherproof' building and accommodation for a teacher as preconditions to a school being approved. In April, 1878, Messrs Charles Ballanger, Thomas Maddock and Richard and William Westaway formed an inaugural school committee. They discovered a suitable, existing building close to the Mooloolah River. On 15 July, 1878 the 'Mooloolah Plains Provisional School' opened with 16 students and Mr Thomas Hodgson as the teacher. Eventually, in 1908, the school was re-named Glenview School and was moved to the current site on Glenview Road. The first teacher was Miss Kate Moloney. Today, Glenview is a Queensland Independent Public School with a proud 141 year legacy of providing world class education to children from Prep to Year 6, a reputation for excellence, and a commitment to educating our future citizens. Glenview has a current enrolment of 290 students from Prep to Year 6 and a team of 45 teaching and ancillary staff.

About
Welcome to Maleny State School, the school of choice for countless generations of local families on the Range. With an enrolment of 403 students we are just the perfect size. This year our school celebrated 100 years of educational excellence and tradition in Maleny, proudly welcoming back over a 1000 past students, staff and community members. As a new principal to Maleny I was overwhelmed to see so many people return from all around the globe with the common theme being that their school days in Maleny were, 'the best days of their lives. At Maleny we value family ideals and strive to create a warm, supportive, school climate that promotes a sense of belonging and encourages students to be motivated self-regulated learners. We recognise that education of the whole child is essential and that as learners children are at all different stages. Our students perform well academically and thrive in our extension GEMS Program that stimulates and challenges children to be the best they can in writing, maths, science and art. Our vision is to ensure all children are connected learners and creative leaders. We boast a highly committed and skilful staff with a passion for ensuring optimal learning outcomes for our students. This combined with our highly supportive P&C, and local community enables us to form a solid high quality educational foundation and service. We have strong links with our neighbouring Maleny State High School and as a result students enjoy a successful and seamless transition into their secondary schooling.
