About
Family owned & operated Icecream & Frozen Yoghurt Manufacturers. BACKGROUND Roscos Ice Cream has been successfully operating since 1998 and has grown locally to 70 sited freezers, ranging from Newcastle to Port Macquarie. Our plant is based in the small town of Coolongolook, on the Pacific Hwy. We currently wholesale to large service station retailers such as Metro Petroleum & Caltex Energy. We also service smaller businesses such as General Stores, Take-Aways & Caravan Parks etc. Our latest survey indicated that 1 in 3 people recognised & have tasted Roscos Ice-creams on the Mid North Coast and the feedback was extremely positive. FAMILY BUSINESS Roscos was originally founded in 1998 by a Coolongolook man Ross Fletcher, thus the name Roscos. He started from very humble beginings, manually filling small cups & cones of quality ice cream and wholesaleing to nearby retail outlets. In 2003 Ross decided to sell his business, which included a family home & very, very, small factory all set on 1.7 lovely acres, in the small village of Coolongolook (Mid North Coast of NSW). In 2003 Steve, Monica & their 3mnth year old son Byron purchased the package on a wing & prayer, throwing in their secure 9-5 jobs. Initially, it was extremely hard, working long hours, growing the business, re-investing all profits into upgrading run down old plant & equipment, plus paying the bills. Four years on, to today, Steve & Monica added a beautiful little girl(Brianna), to their family. Also... continue to grow thier successful business despite continuos set backs and harrasment by multinational competitors. Steve & Monica are now looking to the next phase of their business plan which is entering the super premium ice cream game and potentially franchising. Most importantly their plan includes quality time with family and a good overall balance. LOCAL PRODUCT & LOYAL CUSTOMERS All our products are made from quality Australian ingredints and local milk from the NSW North coast.
