Our particular form of Jui Jitsu is a traditional Japanese style as taught by the late Professor Kam Hock Hoe. This form of the art features over 400 different locks, throws and holds. Literally translated to mean "the gentle art," Ju-Jitsu is a system of combat martial arts and philosophy used by the samurai in ancient Japan. It is also the parent art of many classical Japanese arts, such as Judo, Sambo, Aikido, and dates back over 2500 years! The material taught in class covers throwing, grappling, striking, blocking, forms, drills, and falls, in addition to basic and advanced self defence and understanding and respect for Ju-Jitsu as a martial art and piece of history and culture.
