Charlotte and her husband Adam run The Kitchen Company, which was founded by Adam’s Dad (Peter Batley) in a suburban garage in 1981. With Peter’s dedication to exceptional service and high-quality design and manufacturing, the business grew and today has the biggest showroom in the Canberra region and employs over 20 Canberrans (offering vocational training and apprenticeships). Our origins began from witnessing the failures of the renovation industry. After 17 years as a carpenter/joiner in the building and renovation industry, our founding director Olivier Aldric had seen the drive for sales and poor management cause many projects fail to measure up to the promised results. “I realised that these companies had been created to impress customers and produce sales, but their methods of management fell very short of being professional and honest."
