I was so impressed by the knowledge and customer service given by Andrew and his wonderful staff. We had just driven 6 scary km's and I thought my car was about to die. I found 1st Choice Mechanical via Google and I'm SO GLAD I did. After years of problems, Andrew diagnosed and fixed my car straight away, now it's driving like a dream. He knew that we had a long journey home and even followed up with a text message to make sure we got home OK - amazing! I just wish I lived closer so that I could go back for every service.

Brilliant mechanics and first honest mechanics I have ever been too, I booked my Audi in to change the PcV valve, they ordered the part, when they then checked my old PcV valve and found it to be ok, they did not charge me for any labour or there time , and the part happy to return and gave me brilliant advice on my car. Plenty of other mechanics would of done the job got the $$ and said nothing like had been done to me in the past. I will be recommending these guys to anyone and everyone from the office lady to the mechanics lovely service and obviously very proud of the workmanship and business they have and care about their customers. I wish I had found these mechanics years ago. But can guarantee they have my business and extended family’s business from now on. And I will be recommending them to everyone honest reliable mechanics and business like this one deserve the best review and custom you will not be disappointed I am delighted finally have found a exceptional mechanics

I had the good fortune to happen across this family-run business recently. Louis and his wife Lisa manage the place together, and I found them to be honest, professional and warm (warmth is an under-rated quality, but it makes the pain of shelling out bucks easier) Louis fixed my car at a very reasonable cost, and did an exceptional job. Lisa was kind enough to drive me home, which saved me walking my little dog miles through hot streets which we both really appreciated. Louis came in slightly under his original quote, even though he worked past his normal closing time to get me back out on the road. I highly recommend this business-it's one of those places where the owner has all sorts of skills and knowledge gleaned through the years, and isn't stuck in the robotic "specialized" unhelpful mould common in the franchises and rip-off merchants all over Australia these days. Give them a go, you wont be sorry.

I applied for a pink slip and the fella failed, which I knew it would as I had a service at Nabiac at Christmas and the guyUp there said you need shackles and brake drums replaced before you pass rego. This guy at Oak Flats said you need shackles and new number plates. I said what about the brakes ? He said their fine. I went to another mechanic and asked them to check the brakes and they said there was only 1/2 mm left on them and they were getting dangerous. I’m so glad I went to another mechanic as it’s a two and half ton van, I could have been in a lot of trouble if I hadn’t gone to another mechanic. This guy never even checked the brakes but said the rego plates need to be renewed...what ? The rego plates were very readable, I even took one to the Service NSW and they said they were fine and could be read. So glad I went for a second opinion..!

We are travelling around Australia, so our motor home IS our home. We needed to have an oil change and new filter replaced , we are staying at the N.R.M.A caravan park in Shellharbour.
