Skilton Truck Repairs gained inspiration first from Drury, New Zealand; when Layton was a kid playing in his grandfathers workshop known as Skilton Truck Parts. Moving to Australia where Nick and Layton became best mates of 12 years and both grew to become qualified heavy vehicle mechanics. From there Skilton Truck Repairs was started in 2015 by Layton Skilton. Initially working after hours and weekends on customers trucks. Officially in 2019 Skilton Truck Repairs was formally created with the help of Nick Bell. Together, Layton and Nick own and run Skilton Truck Repairs. Nick Bell holds heavy vehicle mechanic qualifications; Layton is also qualified within heavy vehicle mechanics as well as being a qualified auto electrician. Kai is our newest team member. He is a 3rd year apprentice heavy vehicle mechanic and has experience working on Hino and Fuso trucks for the OEM dealership. Having been factory trained by Isuzu, Hino and Fuso and with over 20 years of combined automotive knowledge you can bet Skilton Truck Repairs will get the job completed.
