We have a collection of old buildings which show the variety of furniture, clothing, implements etc. which illustrate how people lived in the past. Outdoors, the old threshing machines, ploughs, carts and wagons give a picture of life at that time and show the ingenuity and strength these early pioneers demonstrated to make this settlement successful.

The Stanthorpe and District Historical Society has operated the Stanthorpe Heritage Museum since 1970. The collection is maintained and presented by members of the Society. The Maleny History Preservation & Restoration Society collects and preserves the history of Maleny for future generations. The Historical Village is also the home of the Maleny Men's Shed and Blackall Range Horseless Carriage Club. We hold events throughout the year including an annual Pioneer Day and Country Music Day. We also host other public functions as well as catering for bus trips, family reunions and events, (birthdays) and family research. Our village has two historical houses, Priscilla Cottage and the Lawley house which are open to the public on special days and if requested.
