I provide tuition for guitar (electric and acoustic), and bass. I always make lessons fun, with 30 years of playing experience and having taught my first student in 1993. I possess an extensive knowledge of music theory and harmony, and have a home studio setup for teaching and recording. I teach all styles, from kids aged 11 upwards learning the basics, to pop, rock, blues and jazz. The fastest way to progress as a student is to practice at home, building the muscle (including brain) memory - so to ignite the passion for playing, I teach tunes that the student loves, right from the start. We gently incorporate technique and music theory through those tunes, as well as through exercises that ensure that they become a well-rounded musician. I am a registered AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) enroller and will help you or your child prepare and pass AMEB or "rock school" music grades.
