During this time I have learnt and developed techniques to assist the body to release tension & pain. I work in a gentle yet firm manner with respect to the individuals pain threshold. I believe that the old school approach of �no pain no gain' is counter productive as the body locks up to defend itself from the inflicted pain. By relaxing the body and mind, the muscular defences relax allowing access to the deeper layers. Pain will be felt but it is controlled and managed and dissipates quickly.
