Hello, I thought that you might like to know a little about me, Rhonda Grasby. After completing my training to be a Dietitian in Canada, I worked for a year. I then decided to make my way to Australia to the Illawarra. I have worked in all hospitals from Coledale to Nowra and on all wards. During my time in the hospital system I managed two nutrition departments and one food service department, along with being a consultant for other hospitals. The two new sciences have emerged since the discovery of the human genome. One is nutrigenomics and the other nutrigenetics. These sciences are about the study of how food influences our genes and genes influence how we are able to utilize that food. I love learning new things and this field gives me the opportunity to do this. What I also like to do is to bring these new findings to people in a practical way.
