German-born Dr Hampe is a fully Australian-trained specialist in gastroenterology, hepatology, endoscopy and internal medicine. After completing his initial medical degree in 2004 at Germany’s oldest tertiary institution, Heidelberg University, he worked at the gastroenterology department of Heidelberg University Hospital, one of Europe’s largest medical centres.
