One Stop Medical has been offering superior healthcare services to the Mackay and Bowen Basin region for many years. Our team of medical experts offer warm, friendly service in a relaxed environment. We understand Mackay's healthcare needs and supply a range of general medical services and specialist health services. Our general services include well women' and well men' checks - a 30 minute overall check-up, skin checks for sun cancers and melanomas, childhood vaccinations, blood-sugar tests, cholesterol checks and drug and alcohol screening. We are the only Mackay occupational medicine specialist servicing the town and surrounding areas. In conjunction with our general medical services we also provide fitness for work assessments, injury management and rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, and worksite safety and risk assessment. We also provide Mackay workers pre-employment medical assessments, along with occupational health surveillance, workplace health promotion and on-site immunisations such as flu vaccinations. All of our clients who visit our Mackay drug and alcohol screening clinic have access to results immediately after their test is finished. We specialise in Coal Board medicals along with, audio booth testing and spirometry tests. We can perform Coal Board medical assessments within 24 hours. We also provide commercial or recreational dive medical certificates. We also have a pathology service on-site for quick turnaround of results.

South Side Medical Centre is a general practice located on Juliet Street close to Mackays CBD. Locally owned and operated by registered nurse and practice manager, Kath O'Brien, we provide medical services for the whole family. Our centrally located premises are very popular among locals and visitors alike. Our services include general medicine, immunisation and travel vaccinations, occupational health, urine drug and alcohol testing, as well as minor surgery , skin cancer screening and management, Diabetes management, Weight Loss counselling. With available doctors, nurses and administration support staff, our general practice cares for all ages of the community. We can assist you with free childhood immunisations, Healthy Kids checks for 4 year olds, 45-49 year old health assessments and over 75-year health assessments. Children 10 years and under are billed directly to Medicare. Another area we are interested in is Chronic Disease Management. We have management plans for diabetics in particular. Our patients with diabetes are seen regularly and are provided with support from the practice nurse as well. We have seen a lot of doctors over the years but the service we experienced at South Side Medical yesterday was a wonderful surprise! The two doctors we saw yesterday (we are a family of 5) were down to earth, caring, thoughtful and thorough! Haven't seen Doctors like this in a very long time! We would highly recommend this practice and its staff to anyone! Well done!
