Dr Vinny Mamo is a specialty trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in Hip Replacement (both Direct Anterior Approach and Posterior) and Knee replacement and Shoulder replacement and rotator cuff repairs. As well he specialises in Knee arthroscopy- meniscal repair and joint preservation procedures, and Sports Injuries and Knee ligament reconstruction. Dr Mamo was born and bred in Sydney and graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1988 . He worked in Sydney, Canberra, Wagga Wagga ,Griffith, Albury prior to commencing orthopaedic training under the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedics in 1997. He undertook a Fellowship (post specialist training) at Wrightington Hospital, England in 1998. He returned with his family to Wagga Wagga in in 1999 and commenced his orthopaedic specialist practice at 30 Docker Street where he has worked continuously.
