She completed a bachelor of applied science (2002) and Master of osteopathy degree (2004) at the University of Western Sydney, Macarthur. Michelle has also completed post graduate studies in infant and paediatric manual therapy through the Victorian University of Technology in 2013. Michelle is the owner of Port Stephens Osteopathic Clinic, Salamander Bay, which was established in 2006. Currently there are 2 Osteopaths practicing at the clinic. Before establishing in Salamander Bay, Michelle practiced in Orange and Dubbo in private practice for 2 years. Michelle uses hands on treatment techniques such as soft and deep tissue techniques, gentle joint and fluid mobilisation and stretching techniques. She will also prescribes lifestyle and ergonomic advice to help promote optimal health and recovery. Michelle has travelled extensively overseas, also involving voluntary work in Nepal and Sri Lanka. She has aspirations to one day be involved in voluntary work in remote Australian communities. Michelle is currently preparing to further her studies in another Masters program in Public health as a recipient of a scholarship funded by the Services for Australian Rural and Remote Health (SARRAH) organisation.
