Hendra Information:- Proserpine Vet Surgery would like to take this time to remind our valued clients that we DO visit Hendra un-vaccinated horses! However, as our policy states, we may have to suit up and wear PPE as part of workplace health and safety practises to protect our staff and yourself. It is in your best interest, as a horse owner, to have your horse vaccinated, so that it can receive thorough and prompt attention from our vets. Without the vaccination, we can only perform a Hendra elimination test and give basic treatment until we have those results, which may take up to 24 - 72 hours and even longer in some cases!
