In 1986, Dr Hertess graduated from Melbourne University Medical School after first completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the same university. After 8 years of surgical training in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane Dr Hertess obtained her specialist qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Hertess has a keen interest in skin cancer medicine. She obtained her Australian Dermatology Diploma in 2014 and is due to finish her Masters of Medicine (Skin Cancer) in early 2024. Whilst Dr. Hertess tends to focus on her specialties in Breast Surgery Augmentations, Breast Implant Revision, Breast Reduction, and abdominoplasty, she is also very passionate about skin cancer medicine and surgery.
