Leisha Townson, at Boundless Counselling and Consultancy, is a qualified Counsellor, Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience. Her philosophy is that each individual has unique strengths, innate resilience and the ability to achieve emotional equilibrium. She is passionate about social justice and the rights of every individual to a life filled with safety, recognition, inclusion, knowledge and connectedness and will assist each person she works with to achieve these things in life. Leisha has worked in government and non-government organisations in areas such as sexual assault and domestic violence, rehabilitation, palliative care, renal unit, veterans, women's centres and carers. She has also volunteered and been employed to work (on a contract basis) with primary and secondary students with learning difficulties, disabilities and behavioural issues as well as being a tutor for Social Work students at several universities.

Mind and Wellbeing is a private psychology practice conveniently located on Point Cartwright Drive opposite Kawana Shoppingworld. At Mind and Wellbeing, we are dedicated to providing a supportive environment that promotes guided change and personal growth. We teach practical skills based on scientific research to help you overcome your difficulties in everyday situations. While a GP referral is not required to access our services, we are all registered Medicare Health Care providers, so our patients are eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebated, or bulk bill, consultations in 2013. Visit your Doctor, let them know how you are feeling and enquire about being referred under the bulk billing provisions of the Medicare Benefits Scheme. If you are with a Private Health Insurer enquire about your entitlements for psychology services. Please note that Medicare rebates and Private Health Care cover cannot be claimed at the same time. However, Private Health Care cover may be used, say, when therapy extends beyond the 10 Medicare rebated consultations Medicare sessions. Appointments are available on weekdays, Saturdays and after hours subject to availability. Please, feel free to contact us and one of our team will be in contact shortly. Sessions are usually 50 minutes in length however an extended appointment is preferable during the initial session. Each member of our team has special areas of interest affording a range of services to adolescents, adults, couples and families covering a range of complex issues.
