Golden Gate Cafe is one in a million.. The Customer service is old school and rare these days. I would recommend this place to anyone on the coast, just don't come across customer service like this anymore!!! The food is also good but the customer service is what stuck out for me. Well done.

Tea cake delicious best I’ve had in a long time Pies & sausage roll good flaky pastry a little expensive but worth it only minor fault charging .20c for a plastic bag

Regarding the plastic bags – since the ban of single use plastic bags in June 2022, we have taken a decision to recover the cost of the reusable bags we sell (a notice was up in store for many months prior to the Government’s decision to ban single use bags). Also, the charge for the reusable plastic bags we hope is a disincentive in using any type of plastic bag that damages our precious environment. As noted on the Government’s Planning and Environment website, “While plastic is a versatile and useful product, it’s also increasingly threatening our natural environment. Once in the environment, plastics take many years to degrade, often breaking into smaller parts which can kill our wildlife.” Regards Chittaway Bakehouse
