I have previous experience in the mental health sector, working with severe mental illness and psychosocial disability in my early career. I have worked with people across the lifespan, from ages 4 into their late 60's and beyond. Gulargambone Central School (GCS) caters to the learning needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 12 (K-12). It is located 120km north of Dubbo between Gilgandra and Coonamble and is a member of the Bourke School Education Group. The school's remote rural setting allows direct access to many practical, employment oriented learning situations and to unique environmental settings. Students are drawn from the township itself and from rural properties in the surrounding district. Enrolments in recent years are around 70, with approximately 75% of students identify as Aboriginal. Coonamble Children's Services is a 32 place Centre meeting the needs of children from 6 weeks - 12years. We operate Monday to Friday from 8.15am - 5.30pm and offer Long Daycare and Occasional Care for children aged 6 weeks - 5 years as well as After-School Care and Vacation Care for children up to 12 years. We offer places for a Full Day, Half Day, School Hours and After School Care. At Coonamble Children's Services we provide a nutritious menu which consists of morning tea, lunch with dessert, afternoon tea and late snack.
