Along with partner laboratory the Analytical Research Laboratory, EAL sits within the Southern Cross Analytical Research Services unit. Strong partnerships with ARL - a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved commercial/research facility providing specialist capabilities in applied phytochemistry, crop quality and herbal medicine quality control - and SCU's Special Research Centres, along with EAL's flexibility and capacity to diversify, enables the laboratory to adopt new and innovative techniques as they are developed and tested, through ongoing research. Australian Soil & Concrete Testing (ASCT) is a consultant and technical service providing geotechnical, civil engineering and environmental testing. We also do reporting for government and private industry to comply with Australian standards and government specifications and regulations. ASCT perform geotechnical investigations for residential, commercial and industrial developments and provide civil engineering technical testing services for earthworks, roadworks and concrete constructions. The laboratory can undertake work from a single residential allotment through to multi-storey commercial buildings, and has the staff with appropriate knowledge, experience and qualifications to perform the assessment to the required standard and to report the findings in accordance with the specifications and regulations for the project.
