Hi, I’m Doug - owner and lead videographer at Doug Simpson Media. I grew up in Townsville and always loved the amazing people, the laid-back lifestyle, and the community spirit. After graduating high school, I spent some time travelling and seeing the world. I have lived overseas and in different parts of Australia with my incredible partner. After having our daughter in 2018, I knew that I wanted to settle down in Townsville so that she could enjoy the same childhood and lifestyle that I did. We welcomed our second child, a baby boy, in 2021 and I was looking for a career change to better suit my family. After 15+ years in the hospitality industry, I’ve always had an eye for detail and I decided to combine my love of food with the skills I learnt during my Media degree at University. I began taking photos at local cafes and restaurants and Doug Simpson Media was born. I now have a long list of repeat clients, from local restaurants, real estate agents and corporate businesses, and I will be furthering my services to include wedding videography in the near future. Hi, my name is Jason Cheslin, and I’m passionate about telling stories through video. I have been producing videos and crafting my skills for over 15 years. I especially love turning those stories that would seem to be ordinary and turn them into something interesting and engaging.
