Safe Hands Family Services (SHFS) aims to ensure that all parents and carers feel safe and supported whilst navigating their way through all of life's various stages - including the raising of well-adjusted, healthy, and happy children. Through our ONLINE evidence based and non evidence based parenting groups, social and emotional well being programs, along with domestic violence programs (for men and women), we cover many topics that support individuals and parents to navigate through the various life stages with their children, whether you have children in your care or not. Our programs support you in your journey with your children along with other adult relationships. We focus on a strengths-based philosophy to build self-esteem, improve on mental health and parenting outcomes, increase coping skills, encourage healthy communication, educate on healthy relationships, and much more. Our program delivery and support services are predominantly provided via our online platform. We run courses, (in groups or we can deliver one on one) and group programs, and offer wrap-around support in the form of parent coaching and psycho-education. We're person-centered here. That means that we approach all our clients with respect, care, and due diligence. We're non-judgmental, authentic, and accessible. I help adolescents and adults to cope with Relationship difficulties, Anxiety and Stress, Depression, Workplace Stress, Adjustment Disorder, Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Disability. I provide neuro-affirming assessments, including autism and ADHD, for adolescents and adults. My special areas of interest include working with couples, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, trauma as well as men’s mental health. I have worked in Private Practice, Marriage/Relationship Counselling, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), the Primary Health Network, the NDIS and Out of Home Care environments. I use a warm and empathic style, and work collaboratively with people to develop therapy objectives and provide counselling to meet individual needs. In doing so, I equip individuals with the practical skills, tools and coping strategies to make positive changes in their lives. I focus on building relationships to support people.
