Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours is a small, family owned business offering exciting food and wine adventures to the beautiful Hunter Valley wine region. Join us for a full day tour tasting the Semillons and Verdelhos the Hunter is known for as well as Merlots and Shiraz, boutique craft beers, locally made cheeses and chocolates. Owner/operator Pippa Travers is fully licensed, accredited and insured, as well as a proud local who enjoys nothing more than to show off the Hunter Valley and it's wines! After 20 years teaching 60 children under five, she decided on a career change - winemaker! After completing a Wine Production course on make wine, Pippa soon discovered that as her age and to make the wine she wanted to make, she needed more money and muscles. Saying all that, she has worked in many cellar doors, knows and loves her wine, and therefore, knows where to find them! Let our tours introduce the Hunter Valley Wine Country's best wine tasting experiences, with pick ups at various Hunter Valley Locations. Each group on board is given time at each cellar door to gain a complete experience and flavour of the cellar door/vineyard/winery. Pippa's able to regale history, quirky stories and give informative commentary and knowledge about wines, vines and the Valley... All delivered with an innate sense of humour!
