Mark and Anthea have opened an artisan winery and Cellar door in Salamander Bay in beautiful Port Stephens, NSW. Mark Tynan started Tynan Wines in 2009. He has a Master in Viticulture and Oenology from Charles Sturt University. We focus on producing small batches of premium wine using the best grapes we can find from vineyards in regional NSW and Australia. Not every region can grow the best grapes of all varieties, so we get out on the road and find expert grape growers with a history of producing excellent crops, then bring the grapes back to the Hunter Valley to make fine wine. To date, we have sourced grapes from Canberra, Orange, Hunter Valley, Mudgee, New England, Hilltops (Young) and Tumbarumba.

Shoal Bay Shuttle Service provides private transport within Port Stephens, to and from Newcastle Airport and the Hunter region. Our vehicles are a 4-passenger Toyota Camry, 6-passenger Tarago and a near-new 13-passenger bus. Owner-driver Mike has been involved with public transport operations in this region for over 30 years. Newcastle airport transfers, local private tours and trips to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley Wine Country are our specialities.

Owner/operator Pippa Travers is fully licensed, accredited and insured, as well as a proud local who enjoys nothing more than to show off the Hunter Valley and it's wines! After 20 years teaching 60 children under five, she decided on a career change - winemaker! After completing a Wine Production course on make wine, Pippa soon discovered that as her age and to make the wine she wanted to make, she needed more money and muscles. Saying all that, she has worked in many cellar doors, knows and loves her wine, and therefore, knows where to find them! Let our tours introduce the Hunter Valley Wine Country's best wine tasting experiences, with pick ups at various Hunter Valley Locations. Each group on board is given time at each cellar door to gain a complete experience and flavour of the cellar door/vineyard/winery. Pippa's able to regale history, quirky stories and give informative commentary and knowledge about wines, vines and the Valley... All delivered with an innate sense of humour!
