Painting commenced after a lump sum quote was negotiated and accepted by the contractor. The painters were on site longer than anticipated mostly due to the contractor being away at times leaving brushhands on their own or brushhands not turning up. There was a noticeable downturn in productivity during these periods. after the painters finished there were defects noticed and the painter came back to rectify but once we started cleaning down later many more defects were noticed. The painter came to look at the defects and said he would return to fix on the next wet day, when he didn't come back we rang him to ask why, he stated he wouldn't come back unless we paid him more money. Areas of poor workmanship: poor sanding and coating on doors, very little filling of damaged areas, areas missed entirely. Very disappointed
