Frequently Asked Questions
What is conveyancing? Do I need a solicitor as well?
Conveyancing is the process of transferring legal ownership of a property from one party to another. Both buyers and sellers are required to have conveyancing done. Conveyancers are qualified licensed professionals that undertake all aspects of property dealings. No, you do not need a lawyer or solicitor as well. A Licensed Conveyancer is fully qualified to complete any conveyancing transactions.
How do you normally charge the fees and costs for your service?
We get paid at settlement and generally do not ask for any fees or funds upfront (the exceptions being sales). Every matter is different, so we do not offer fixed price quotes for conveyancing. We run a paperless office environment in Bendigo, and have leading software and email correspondence and documents where possible.
