Aikido KITAYAMA Dojo

Welcome to the Aikido KITAYAMA Dojo, a local martial arts club in Hope Island. Our aim is to enhance our community's self-defence awareness through the practice of Aikido. Led by our head instructor, Gotaro Kitayama Sensei, a native of OSAKA, Japan, our Dojo is an associate of Bayside BUDOKAI, supported by renowned martial artist David KOLB Sensei from Brisbane. We are affiliated with the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan, ensuring internationally recognized gradings. At KITAYAMA DOJO, we embrace a true BUDO approach, focusing not only on Aikido's martial aspects but also delving into the rich Japanese culture upon which Aikido is founded.
