Air Sound & Vision

The remote door locking on my Landcruiser stopped working, so I contacted Air and Sound who said they can fix it. After a couple of hours they contacted me and said the unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. The gave me a price, and thinking they were the experts, said OK. They called me about three hours later and said finished. I paid and went to my vehicle, and tried my new system. The doors unlocked, but no flashing of the indicators to tell me. I went back into the workshop to tell them, but the guy behind the desk said the unit they had fitted didn't have the flashing lights. I said no good , you need to see that the doors had locked or unlocked. Another guy from Air and sound happened to hear me arguing, and said he would fix it, but needed a couple of more hours. I said OK, cause I wasn't really happy with it as it was. Ended up flashing , but the dash facial was broken, and when I complained he said it was already broken, not their fault.

Had a total BAD experience with this mob - their poor installation of a sound/nav unit in my ute was less than professional - the unit sits in a funny angle in the dash - its hard to program even they can't do it when I took it back. The reverse camera they installed is too low on the back bumper to be of much use! The UHF set they installed was only double sided taped to the consul and fell off in a few minutes. The antenna was mounted badly and could chip the bonnet so I had to fix it myself. Worse of all is when they took the original radio out they left the CD's in it. "no worries" they said "bring it in and we will get them out", I took it in and a week later I had to call them to find out what happened - "come and get it, we got the CD's out" When I got there they gave me a zippy bag with the CD's. When I asked for the original radio they said they had to destroy it to get the CD's out - DUH! I could have done that - they destroyed a perfectly good CD/radio to recover a few CD
