Sarah is passionate about helping her clients achieve meaningful change in their lives. She places a strong emphasis on creating a respectful therapeutic relationship and appreciates each client’s uniqueness and views therapy as a collaborative process. She works within a person-centered and strength-based framework, seeing therapy as an opportunity to utilize and build upon each client’s existing skills and strengths. Sarah has experience working with clients across the lifespan, from adolescents through to aged care residents. She values working with clients of all ages, diverse cultural backgrounds and the LGBTQAI+ community. Sarah’s experience has come from working in private practice, non-government organizations, the Older Peoples Mental Health Service within NSW Health, and Psycho-Oncology. Sarah provides assessment and interventions which are individually tailored to each clients needs and circumstances. Whether you have received a formal diagnosis, or seeking support for personal growth, or just going through one of life's challenging times and needing a professional to talk to, Sarah is dedicated to work alongside you in supporting change and to gain a sense of balance and overall wellbeing. Sarah supports teens through to older age adults across a broad range of presenting issues including: - Mood and anxiety disorders - Grief and loss - Adjustment difficulties - Trauma and stress related issues - Addiction - Relationship concerns - Perinatal mental health - Suicidal ideation and self-harm (mild to moderate) Sarah is trauma informed and trained in a range of evidence-based therapies including: - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) - Motivational Interviewing (MI) - Person Centered Therapy (PCT).
