About Ballantyne's Strawberry Farm

Ballantyne Strawberries is a family business run by Alan and Margaret they grow the sweetest strawberries money can buy they are very passionate about what they do. The farm is open from June to September just call us for the date we open this all depends on the plant growth.

Our family met at Ballantyne’s Strawberry Farm Sunday 2nd August 2020 ... great day had by all. Owners and staff were friendly and knowable. Food was yummy, 1hr drive North from Mackay, plenty of car parking, table and chairs are available, amenities, no mobile reception (mountains country) but able to take plenty of photos. We walked through the sunflower garden and saw the blueberries trees from a far. We took a picnic rug and sat on the grass. There were plenty of strawberries to pick and they cater for afternoon arrival’s by having sections chained off for the late starters. Magical Day thanks.

We took the time to visit the Strawberry Farm over the weekend. It was everything we expected and had a great time freely moving around the Farm picking strawberries and having a snack at the cafe. Recommend to everyone wanting a day out to explore something different in our region. Would be excellent for the family with lots of grandkins.

Today was our family's first visit and it certainly won't be the last. There's something for everyone. My husband and I enjoyed a fresh morning tea of strawberry cheese cake and scones while our teenagers went off and picked fresh strawberries. This place has a lovely ambience and I look forward to our next visit.
