Ballina Hire Cars & Taxis

Caught a Ballina Taxi yesterday. The driver was very impatient when I couldn't close the big van sliding door when I got into the backreat. He eventually had to get out of the car and he slapped it shut.. I wasn't impressed as iam only a small women and found it hard to close. I tried to have a conversation but all he could do was say Nah to everything. Maybe a smile would help this man instead of being so sour. Not a nice experience. My return trip I had a really lovely lady that was happy and nice.

Booked a maxi, was 40 minutes late, took us in the opposite direction with extra passengers, charged them the full fee but did not reset the meter, after many frustrated attempts I have never had a satisfactory outcome with this company. Don’t bother booking a cab, they pay scant regard to any of the obligations of that booking.

What a rip off. I used share ride car. Before getting on, I was told $100 to Byron. I sssumed it would be divided into the number of passengers. There were 5 in the car. The driver didn’t wait to fill the car and took off. The fare went up more than $200, and each person had to pay more than $40. What a trick! In this case, the driver should say ‘the fare would be over $200 and divided into the number of passengers’. I would recommend to use shuttle bus for peace of mind for $35, nothing more.
